The initiative seeks to partner with an e-commerce platform for 100 entrepreneurs in Ethiopia, spanning various sectors such as agro-processing and jewelry. Qualified e-commerce platforms are invited to join. The partnership will concentrate on several key areas: training and demonstrations on marketplace operations, including setting up storefronts and managing customer service. For selected SMEs, merchant accounts will be established, payment configurations will be set up, and online stores launched initially for 30 to 60 SMEs, with plans to expand to 100. The support will involve assisting SMEs in creating export-ready product profiles and offering advice on pricing strategies aligned with market trends. Guidance on customer service and order management will enhance customer engagement. The platform will boost visibility using advertising tools and facilitate compliant cross-border transactions under AfCFTA conditions. Promotional support will prominently feature products and involve marketing campaigns.

Deliverables include a detailed work plan, a training curriculum, modular training units, and proof of buyer engagement through campaign reports. Monthly performance reports will monitor individual entrepreneur progress, while a final report will summarize key outcomes and recommendations for future scaling. Continuous support will encompass helpdesk services and documentation covering essential operational areas. Metrics will track training, onboarding, listings, and overall platform success.
